Initial Contact

YOU’VE SENT ME A NOTE INQUIRING ABOUT MY SERVICES:

I will be in touch to get a better understanding of your wants and needs.

DETAILS:

We will schedule a time to go over the details, special requests, and what you plan to do with the photos afterwards.

LOCATION:

We will discuss location choice. For portraits, you may choose my in-home studio, the comfort of your home or an outside location. I am happy to provide suggestions for you if you are unsure.

CHOOSE A COLLECTION & BOOK A SESSION:

I will send you a booking proposal including different collections I offer.
Select a collection and sign the contract/photo release.

PERSONAL CLIENT PORTAL:

You will receive access to your own personal password protected client portal.
Here you will find everything conveniently in one location for you such as your booking proposal, invoices, contracts, galleries, design proofs, questionnaires and more.

Style

WHAT TO WEAR:

Have you/your family dress in clothing that is comfortable.

For family photos, it is best to coordinate with a color scheme.

Draw upon inspiration from your home décor and where you would hang up your photos.

Need help choosing your clothing? Send me photos of what you/your family plans to wear. I will give you suggestions and feedback to let you know if it will photograph well.

Before Your Session

ONE WEEK BEFORE YOUR SESSION:

I will reach out to go over session details.

DAY BEFORE YOUR SESSION:

I do a weather check and touch base with you to make sure everything is all set for your session.

If Mother Nature sneaks up on us we can discuss rescheduling your session or we can continue our scheduled session, making it fun and creative.

DAY OF YOUR SESSION:

Connect in the morning and make sure we are both on schedule.

HAVING FUN AND MAKING MEMORIES:

It is all about having fun! Being in front of the camera can be nerve racking but my goal is to make it fun for you. Let loose, be yourself and allow me to capture genuine memories for you. I’m not shy so I will dance around if I have to in order to make you/your family laugh. We will have a session filled with hugs, whispers, funny prompts, laughs, genuine smiles and more.

After Your Session

PHOTO SELECTION:

I will take my time sorting through every photo, selecting the best ones that represent you/your family, removing the less flattering photos, closed eyes, duplicate poses, etc.

PROOFS:

I will post your photo proofs for review on your password protected client portal.

Once you choose your favorites, I will spend time editing and enhancing each photo.

PRINTS:

I offer high-quality prints, products, invitations & announcements. Instead of simply downloading and posting on social media, I truly believe in having your absolute favorite photos printed to be hung on a wall or framed for display.

A print is one of the most meaningful ways to enjoy a photograph. It is a beautiful story without words displayed in your home or office for you/your family/guests to see.

ORDERING PRINTS:

Need help? Let’s plan a coffee date! I will help you choose the best photos. I could even visit your home to give my best suggestions on what size prints to get and where to hang them.

PROFESSIONALLY PRINTED VS. DRUG STORE PRINTS:

As for where you print your photos, there is truly a difference in getting your photos professionally printed (with me) vs. getting them done at your local drug store. A professionally printed photo will have the same coloring as the original file.

Drug store prints will vary in dullness, orange tones, heavy contrast, etc.

It pains me to know these drug store photo labs would not be printing my work in the correct color as I have photographed. These photos are memorable keepsakes to be passed on for generations to come.
